Age / Grade Requirements A player's division age is determined
by the following. 11U - Players who are 11 or younger on or before April 30, 2011 (5th Grade) 12U - Players
who are 12 or younger on or before April 30, 2011 (6th Grade) 13U - Players who are 13 or younger on or before
April 30, 2011 (7th Grade) 14U - Players who are 14 or younger on or before April 30, 2011 (8th Grade) Important
Note: All players will be required to try out for their grade level. (Example: A player who is
league age 13 in accordance with the above chart and is in the 8th grade will have to try out for the 14U team. He is
also allowed to try out for the 13U team in the case that he doesn't make the 14U team.) In the interest of advancing
individual player and team development the Folsom Baseball Club believes that players should be encouraged to play with their
peers.
Residency Requirements
The
Folsom Baseball Club is a Folsom Community Youth Sports Program and will adhere to the city's "Folsom First" policy.
Beginning with the Fall 2010 season, tryout participants will be limited to Folsom residents. An
exception is that existing non resident players will be grandfathered into tryouts. If a team is not able
to field enough qualified players with Folsom residents then opportunities will be extended to non residents.
Season The Fall Season will begin as soon as tryouts have been completed and last through the end of October.
Teams will practice a couple of times each week and play in either weekend tournaments or Sunday double headers / leagues. The
number of tournaments each team plays will depend on the number of players who are available on Saturdays. We realize
that many kids are also playing either soccer or football during the Fall and may not be available on Saturdays.
Uniforms Each
player will be issued a hat and game jersey. Players must provide their own game pants, socks, belts, etc.
Financial
Commitment Registration fee is $100 / player. If a player is selected to a team which selects
to play tournaments, additional tournament fees will be collected on a "pay as you go" basis.
If a player is selected to a team which is limited to Sunday play due to Saturday player commitments, more fee /
parental commitment info will be posted soon.
